The Great Pit of Sarlacc is known as the infamous place where Boba Fett became lunch. Now you can do the snacking with a Sarlacc Pit Bundt cake.
Being just a few weeks out of wrist surgery I cheated a little on my cake. I bought the Bundt cake itself from Noting Bundt Cakes.
But if you want to make the Bundt cake yourself here are the steps.
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
3/4 c. butter flavored oil
3/4 c. orange juice
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. butter flavoring
1/2 c. nuts (coarsely chopped)
1/4 c. sugar
Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Combine cake mix, pudding, oil, juice, eggs and flavoring. Mix 8 minutes at medium speed. Mix together nuts, sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle 1/2 of this into well-greased 12-cup Bundt pan. Top with half of cake batter, then remaining nut mixture and the remaining batter. Bake until skewer inserted comes out clean. Cool cake in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out on rack. Spread frosting on while still warm.
Once your Bundt cake is cooled it's time to start on the Sarlacc. I used 1 pack of pre-made refrigerated peanut butter cookie dough and 1 pack of red and 1 pack of white frosting.
I laid out some wax paper with flour and rolled all the dough together.
After flattening it all out I used a butter knife to cut out tentacle shapes and 2 shoe print top shaped pieces for the mouth.
I baked them at 300F for 18min or until hard. You need the pieces rock hard but not burnt, to ensure they don't fall apart.
Once finished let cool for 1 hour ensure the pieces are hard.
I used white icing to hold the cookie pieces in place, like glue, as I stuck them into the cake. The mouth pieces go in the center.
And added on a little toy Boba Fett.
The red I used to make the tongue inside the mouth.
And I crumbled up the broken cookie bits and sprinkled them onto the cake for a sand effect.
Add in some Starwars decorations and you are all set!
My tray was from Think Geek.
